Corduroy sleeper chair illustrating routine upholstery and mechanism care

Folding Sofa Bed Care Guide: Corduroy, Fill & Mechanism

Good care for a folding sofa bed starts with the exact care label. The current Viva 3-in-1 chair lists corduroy upholstery and shredded-foam fill, but it does not currently verify a removable cover, machine-wash instructions or a specific cleaning code.

Routine surface care

Use a soft upholstery tool or brush to remove dust and crumbs from the corduroy ribs. Work gently in the direction of the texture rather than aggressively scrubbing the surface.

Handle spills cautiously

Blot fresh moisture with a clean cloth and check the exact care label before applying soap, solvent or upholstery cleaner. Test any approved cleaner on a hidden area first.

Protect the conversion mechanism

Convert the furniture only as shown in the instructions. Do not force a section that feels jammed; first check for caught fabric, bedding or objects. Keep the moving area clear of hands and nearby furniture.

Support the fill

Shredded foam can shift with use. Follow the product instructions for reshaping or fluffing if provided, and avoid assuming the interior can be removed or washed.

Keep the base and floor clean

The live product copy lists a non-slip base detail. Remove grit from beneath the chair so debris does not scratch hard flooring or reduce grip.

Care checklist

  • Vacuum or brush the corduroy gently.
  • Blot spills promptly.
  • Use only label-approved cleaning methods.
  • Keep conversion joints free of objects.
  • Inspect the base and internal structure if movement changes.
