How to Choose a Bedside Lamp with USB Ports

The best bedside lamp is the one that solves your actual nightstand problem. Start with what you charge, how much light you need and how much surface area you can give up.

1. List the devices you charge at night

If you normally charge a phone and one small accessory, two suitable USB ports may be enough. If another device uses a standard plug, an integrated AC outlet may reduce the need for a separate power strip. Verify the exact port type and output before assuming charging speed.

2. Choose the brightness control you will use

For a lamp that serves both reading and ambient roles, multiple brightness levels can be more practical than a single on/off setting. Touch control can also be convenient when the lamp is within easy reach.

3. Measure the nightstand
