Solar Pillar Light Setup: Placement & Installation Checklist

Before installing solar pillar lights, test the site first. A clean installation depends on stable mounting, enough sunlight and exact-model instructions—not a universal “10-minute” promise.

1. Measure the post top

Confirm the surface is flat, stable and compatible with the mounting base. Exact current mounting dimensions and included fasteners should be verified from the product package/manual.

2. Compare sunlight on both posts

For a two-light entrance, observe both sides across the day. A tree, roofline or wall can shade one panel more than the other and create uneven charging.

3. Test before permanent mounting

Check the remote, approximately 3000K/6000K modes and brightness behavior before drilling or fastening anything. This also lets you assess how the pair looks with the facade.

4. Follow the exact hardware instructions

Do not improvise anchors or fasteners for masonry, stone, brick or wood without matching them to the mounting surface and current installation directions.

5. Recheck after dark

Look for glare, uneven brightness and interference from nearby lighting. Adjust the selected mode if the fixture allows it.

6. Build maintenance access into the placement

You should be able to reach the solar panel for cleaning and the fixture for inspection without unsafe climbing or removing architectural elements.

The current Viva Garden model is a black 2-pack with remote and warm/cool modes. Exact battery, runtime, IP rating and mounting dimensions remain items to verify.
