Solar and wired garden lights solve different outdoor-lighting problems. Solar favors flexible placement where useful sun is available. Wired lighting can provide more predictable powered output when it is designed and installed for the site. Power Source
Solar: Uses a solar panel and rechargeable battery. Performance varies with sun exposure, weather, season, shade, battery condition and the specific system.

Light Output
Power source does not tell you brightness. Compare lumens, beam spread, color temperature and intended use for the exact products. The Viva Solar Parrot product is identified as a warm-LED decorative accent, but its lumen and Kelvin specifications are not currently published.
Reliability
Solar output may be lower after cloudy days or seasonal shade. Wired lights can provide more consistent power when the electrical system is functioning, but they still depend on fixture quality, installation and maintenance.
Placement Flexibility
A ground-stake solar light can be repositioned more easily in many gardens. Wired fixtures are often better when the desired location and lighting plan are permanent.
